About me

The process of creating a sculpture is never predictable. The moment of implementing an idea , from conception to casting is filled with surprising often unexpected changes and having the flexibility to acknowledge such changes can bring wonderful rewards. Inspired by moments in history, the news or daily life/the life model in front of me leads to an explosive start to the project and that energy I try and keep within the piece. Defining, redefining and structuring it changes the dynamic but always with the original thought in process. Femininity , care, motherly love often feature in my work, but always with strength and boldness in either posture or medium. Loving both the strength of bronze and the fluidity of ceramics with its unending possibilities of colour and contrast is a constant source of growth.
